The Historic Sports Car Club has announced details of two great value races running within the annual Walter Hayes Trophy meeting at Silverstone on November 2-3.
For some low cost end of season fun, there will be two Allcomers scratch races, one on Saturday and one on Sunday during the highly regarded Formula Ford knockout event.
Each grid will have a 15 minute qualifying session and a 25 minute race for an entry fee of just £165, making it one of the best value race entries of the season.
The two race has a new feel, as two specific groups of competitors will be supporting the races and they have been titled the Ecosse Italia Border Challenge, with a notable flavour for Italian cars. On the Sunday, other sports and saloon cars of any age will be most welcome to enter.
Saturday’s race will focus on closed wheel production cars from the HSCC categories, including Historic Road Sports, 70s Road Sports, Historic Touring Cars, Historic Modified Sports and Special Saloons and the Guards Trophy. They will be joined by a group of cars from Scotland for a race with a cut-off date of 1990.
