Derek Bell Trophy Series
A series of races for Formula 5000 and Formula 2 single-seaters built and raced between 1967 and 1979. This is the series for the more powerful cars with wings and slick racing tyres. It encompasses classes for Formula Atlantic and later Formula Three and Formula Ford 2000 cars.
The series is open to F1, F5000 & F2 / F Atlantic, Formula 3, Formula Ford 2000 and Formula Super Vee (Water Cooled) cars built and raced between 1/1/67 and 31/12/84. Formula 2 Cars built after 31/12/79 to 31/12/84 are eligible by Invitation at Organisers’ discretion see Class I. Cars must be in original specification with only the addition of current safety requirements. Regardless of period specification all cars must run flat bottomed. All cars must have current FIA papers or HSCC Vehicle Identification Forms.

Class 50B – Formula 5000 cars which as a model competed between 01.01.1972 – 31.12.1977
Class F2A – Formula 2 cars which as a model competed between 01.01.1972 – 31.12.1979 (non ground effects)
Class F2B – Formula 2 cars which as a model competed with 1600cc engines and aerodynamic devices (non ground effects) from 01.01.1971 – 31.12.1979
Class FAA –Cars which as a model competed to Formula 2, Formula B or Formula Atlantic Regulations without aerodynamic devices manufactured and raced between 01.01.1967 – 31.12.1970
Class F3A – Formula 3 cars which as a model competed with 1600cc engines built and raced between 01.01.1971 – 31.12.1973
Class F3B – Formula 3 cars which as a model competed with 2000cc engines built and raced between 01.01.1974 – 31.12.1984
Class 20A – Formula Ford 2000 cars which as a model competed prior to 31.12.1979
Class I – Invitation Class. For cars conforming to the period of the series, accepted at the discretion of the organisers

Class B – Formula 2 cars up to 1000cc built up to 31.12.66
Class C – Formula 3 cars up to 1000cc built and raced between 01.01.64 – 31.12.1970
Class D – Formula Junior cars built and raced before 31.12.1963
Class E – Single seater racing cars built and raced between 01.01.67 – 31.12.71 running to Historic Formula Ford Championship specification
Class F – Formula Libre. Single seater racing cars up to 1600cc built before 31.12.1970 (not to include modified Formula Ford chassis).
