The Historic Sports Car Club has issued updated information about the provisional resumption of racing at its Legends of Brands Hatch Super Prix meeting on the Grand Prix circuit on 11/12 July.

Motorsport UK has confirmed that the event permit is in place as entries continue to build at a significant rate. More than 250 entries have now been taken for the event and the number is growing rapidly.

HSCC CEO Andy Dee-Crowne said: “We are continuing to plan for the restart of racing in mid-July. Obviously, this event depends upon rules and guidelines from Motorsport UK and the UK government. One key issue that I know competitors are waiting to hear about is the availability of overnight camping at Brands Hatch and the re-opening of hotels. The latest advice from MotorSport Vision is that the restriction on overnight stays at the circuit are expected be lifted by 4 July, in line with the government roadmap and potentially a little sooner. We will update our competitors as soon as we have more news.”

MotorSport Vision has confirmed that there will be catering at the event, most likely with a take-away service and outdoor seating. The toilet blocks in the paddock and underneath Race Control will be open.

The race line-up takes in many of the HSCC’s championships and series, covering Historic Formula 2, Thundersports, Aurora Trophy, Guards Trophy, Historic Touring Cars, Classic Formula Ford, Historic Formula Ford, Historic Formula Ford 2000, Classic Formula 3/Classic Formula Ford 2000, 70s Road Sports, Historic Road Sports, Historic Formula Junior and Historic Formula 3.

Entries are open for the event via the on-line system on the HSCC website (www.hscc.org.uk). No monies will be taken until the closing date for entries and if the event is cancelled for any reason or competitors need to later withdraw their entries, full refunds will be given.
