The Historic Sports Car Club’s 50th anniversary race meeting at Croft (6/7 August) will feature in a dedicated hour-long programme on Motors TV.
Building on the success of the programmes produced from the HSCC’s Castle Combe meeting in April and the Legends of Brands Hatch event in July, SSTV filmed the race action at Croft and have produce a magazine-style programme, which will first be broadcast at 4.20pm on the afternoon of Saturday 17 September. The programme is likely to have several repeats and will also be available for viewing on-line via YouTube and the HSCC’s social media platforms.
The annual Croft Nostalgia Festival was another hugely successful event in the Club’s 50th anniversary season with some great competition across 19 races. Notable successes in a superb weekend of action included a double win in Formula Ford 1600 for Callum Grant, a 70s Road Sports double for Jim Dean and another step towards the Historic FF2000 Championship title for Andrew Park.
The team behind SSTV, headed by Wayne Goldring and Paul Woodford, is renowned for its work in rallying and is now bringing those skills and expertise to historic racing. The commentator for the race action will again be Ian Titchmarsh.
