The Historic Sports Car Club has arranged for many of its racing members to have the opportunity to race at the world-famous Spa-Francorchamps circuit during the prestigious Classic Six Hour meeting next October.
The HSCC will have a double-header Closed Wheel event for contenders from its Thundersports, Guards Trophy, Dunlop Saloon Car Cup, 70s Road Sports, Historic Touring Cars, Historic Road Sports and 80s Production categories.
The races will run alongside the high-profile Classic Six Hour race over the weekend of 1-3 October. HSCC racers will have a 30-minute qualifying session and two 30-minute races across the weekend at a very competitive, value-for-money entry fee.
For many drivers, the chance to compete on the famous Belgian Formula 1 track is an absolute highlight as the wonderful three-dimensional track is widely regarded as one of the finest race tracks in the world.
The date of the Spa event has been worked into the 2021 HSCC race meeting calendar to allow as many racers as possible to make the trip to Belgium.
Andy Dee-Crowne, CEO of the HSCC said: “Who doesn’t want to race at Spa? It is the circuit at the top of most racing drivers’ bucket lists, and we couldn’t go in 2020 due to the pandemic. The 2021 date should work very well, and we expect lots of demand for places on the grid.”
Details of how to enter the HSCC Spa races will be confirmed in due course.
