The HSCC are pleased to announce that entries are now open for the combined Historic and 70s Road Sports non Championship Race at this year’s Silverstone Classic. All registered competitors will receive a blank entry form which they can complete and return or alternatively entries can be received online. Testing will be available on Thursday 19th July with qualifying taking place on Friday 20th July and the race will be on Saturday 21st July.
For those who have the entered the race there is an opportunity to take part in the Classic Media Test day on Wednesday 2nd May. This free test is only open to those who have submitted an entry prior to that date.
The final entry list for the race will be confirmed one week after entries close on 1st June and will be shared with all who have entered the race. The grid will consist of 29 confirmed entries for Historic Road Sports and 29 confirmed entries for 70s Road Sports, with 6 reserves being accepted from each Championship .
Selection for the race will be based on the following criteria:
Date of Entry.
Support of relevant Championship. (Regular supporters across the seasons will be given priority over occasional entries)
Presentation of car (this is the Silverstone Classic, one of the biggest Historic Motor Sport events)
The Final decision will be made by the HSCC office after consultation with the respective Championship Chairmen to ensure all entries are treated equally.
All competitors will receive an acknowledgement that their entry has been received. But confirmation of the acceptance for the race will be one week after the 1st of June. Any competitor persistently requesting confirmation prior to this date, should assume that they will be considered as a reserve.
