The HSCC’s Historic Formula 2 and Historic Formula 3 races planned for the Zandvoort Historic Grand Prix (4-6 September) have been cancelled.

Following the latest announcement from the UK government regarding travel during the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, the Historic Sports Car Club could not go ahead with plans for its two race series to be part of the popular Dutch event.

However, UK-based Historic F2 racers are now being invited to switch their plans to the Oulton Park Gold Cup (August 29-31) when there will be a qualifying session and two races within the Aurora Trophy races. Entries are available via the HSCC on-line system: www.hscc.org.uk

HSCC CEO Andy Dee-Crowne said: “We’re extremely disappointed to have to make this decision but there is no chance of UK competitors being able to travel to Zandvoort in less than two weeks. The well-being our of teams and drivers is the most important consideration. We now want to welcome as many F2 drivers as possible to the Oulton Park Gold Cup instead.”
