DESCRIPTION:The annual Formula Ford knock event on the Silverstone National circuit. \nTwo HSCC Closed Wheel races will run\, one on each day of the weekend. Each race will feature a 15-minute qualifying session and a 20-lap (or 25-minute) race for an unrivalled entry fee of just £120. \nThe Saturday race will be for cars from Historic Road Sports\, 70s Road Sports\, Guards Trophy (GT classes)\, 80s Production and Historic Touring Cars along with an invitation class for similar cars. SUMMARY:Snetterton
DESCRIPTION:The season opening race meeting on the 300 circuit at Snetterton will include the re-launched Autosport 3-Hours for pre ’66 GT cars. \nRecreating the former Autosport Three Hour race\, the HSCC will run the endurance race on the Snetterton 200 circuit on Sunday April 23 for all pre ‘66 GT cars. \nThe race will be attractive to those who normally compete in the HSCC’s Guards Trophy as well as a range of other championships and series. The Club is keen to welcome competitors who want to tackle this one-off endurance contest and cars from Classic K\, Gentleman Drivers\, GT and Sports Car Cup\, Equipe GTS\, Ecurie GTS\, and Motor Racing Legends will all be eligible for the race. \nThe three-hour contest will be open to two or more drivers per car with pit stops and special refuelling arrangements. A widened choice of tyres is being considered for the race. \nAndy Dee-Crowne\, CEO of the HSCC\, said: “We have been looking to bring this race back onto the schedule in tribute to the original Autosport Three Hours\, and we felt that this was a good time to re-launch it at our annual Snetterton race meeting. \n“We hope to attract a wide range of GT cars of all engine capacities\, including those that may not normally race with the HSCC but will be very welcome to come and tackle this one off race. Where necessary\, day membership of the HSCC will be included in the entry fee.”

SUMMARY:Mondello Park Historic Festival
DESCRIPTION:Competitors from the Historic Sports Car Club’s Guards Trophy have been invited to play a key role in the Mondello Park Historic Festival over the weekend of 12/13 August 2023. \nThe pre ’66 GT cars and pre ’69 sports-racing cars will have two non-championship races at the Irish track. There will be an hour-long race on Saturday and a 40-minute race on Sunday for the Irish International Grand Prix Trophy\, which dates back to 1929 and the road circuit races at Phoenix Park in Dublin. \nTo make the event as attractive as possible for UK-based racers\, the organisers from Mondello Park are offering a free entry as well as support with transport\, accommodation and carnet costs. The first 10 places are already taken and the organisers are looking for a field of at least 20 cars to make the event the success it deserves to be. \nThe weekend will start with four 20-minute test sessions on Friday\, followed by 30 minutes of qualifying on Saturday morning and the opening race on Saturday afternoon. The races will run to usual Guards Trophy regulations with a mandatory pit-stop and the option of two drivers. The date falls neatly in the existing Guards Trophy calendar between the Brands Hatch Superprix in mid-July and the Croft Nostalgia event in early September. \nHSCC Guards Trophy chairman Hugh Colman said: “This is a fantastic and unique invitation for Guards Trophy drivers and other HSCC drivers with suitable cars. We will be guaranteed a warm welcome with the opportunity to race outside the UK on a circuit that few\, if any of us\, have been to before.” \nThe Historic Festival at Mondello Park will be a major event in the calendar of the Irish track with racing\, displays\, demonstrations\, classic motorbikes and a host of off track attractions.

The race will pay tribute to the incredibly popular Formula Libre races that were a staple part of Silverstone race meetings in the 1970s. \nA 40-minute pre-1980 road sports and touring car race for the Road Sports Trophy. At the heart of this will be cars from Historic and 70s Road Sports grids as well as he Historic Touring Car Championship.
