DESCRIPTION:Laurent Vallery-Masson has invited HSCC racers to take part in the 2 Tours d’Horloge at Paul Ricard in November. The 24-hour race is open to pre-1990 sports and GT cars with 2\, 3 or 4 drivers per car. \n“All cars from your Thundersports Trophy can enter this event. The date is away from any of yours to avoid from clashes\,” said Laurent. \nPut forward by Eric Van de Vyver’s V de V Sports\, this edition of the comeback will be receiving logistical support from HVM Racing\, the official promoter of historic events for the FFSA\, while Laure Van de Vyver is in charge of its general coordination. \nWith registrations only open since December\, the entry list already includes around 20 confirmed crews\, while around 50 others are currently being set up or finalising their budget. \n“We have decided to accept a large selection of different types of cars for the ‘2 Tours d’Horloge’ in order to gather the maximum number of cars on track. The youngest cars accepted will be 30 years old in 2020.

DESCRIPTION:The Grand Prix de France Historique will run at Paul Ricard on 11-13 June. \nAlthough no longer a round of the HSCC Historic Formula 2 Series\, it will include a non-championship Formula 2 race. \n  \nPlease see a letter from organiser Laurent Vallery-Masson here: \nLetter from the organisers \n  \nPaul Ricard update: 25 May 2021 \nLaurent Vallery-Masson from HVM is keen to persuade some British drivers to race in the F2 grid at Paul Ricard (June 12/13). \nThis is an event which qualifies as an ELITE event\, allowing all British drivers to avoid quarantine on the way back to the UK. Up to now there are 16 entries and it would be good to have some British drivers there. \nIt is understood that some race preparers have some extra slots available in their trailers. \n  \nUpdate from Laurent: \nJust a quick note to confirm that valid vaccine certificate is now accepted to enter the circuit. \nSo all participants can show\, at the Welcome Centre\, either a PCR negative test from less than 72h ago or a valid vaccine certificate completed (all injections have to be completed). \nThe certificate has to be written in French or English only. \n

DESCRIPTION:The Legends of Brands Super Prix weekend will have a fresh format for 2021 and for the first time the event will use both the Indy and Grand Prix circuit layouts at the hugely popular venue. \nFriday’s programme will take place on the Indy circuit before the action switches to the sensational Grand Prix circuit for Saturday and Sunday. Provisionally\, Friday’s schedule is for five test sessions for weekend competitors before five qualifying sessions and five races through the afternoon. \nThe six races set for Friday afternoon on the Indy circuit are Classic Clubmans\, Classic F3\, Historic Formula Ford 2000 (two heats and a final) and Champion of Brands Formula Ford. With the exception of Classic Clubmans and Champion of Brands FF\, all those classes then switch to the Grand Prix circuit on Saturday. \nOn the GP circuit on Saturday and Sunday will be races for Guards Trophy\, Historic Road Sports\, Historic FF1600\, Historic FF2000\, Thundersports\, Classic FF1600\, Historic F3\, 70s Road Sports\, Historic Touring Cars\, Formula Junior\, Classic Formula 3/Classic Formula Ford 2000 and Aurora Trophy/Geoff Lees Trophy. \nSignificant guests will be racers from the Historic Grand Prix Cars Association\, with one qualifying session and three races on Saturday and Sunday for a fabulous array of pre ’66 Grand Prix cars.

DESCRIPTION:Already\, we are in September and our attention is turning to the HSCC’s return to Mallory Park after a longish absence.\n\nWe have a good entry building but have space for lots more for a proper club meeting with a very attractive entry fee. \nAfter a gap of around a decade\, the HSCC will return to Mallory Park for a two-day event in September. DESCRIPTION:IMPORTANT NOTICE TO GUESTS – FIRDAY 19 NOVEMBER 2021 \nDear Dinner guest \nWe are very much looking forward to welcoming you to our annual awards dinner on Saturday 20th November at Sywell Aerodrome for our 20s themed gathering with our Guest of Honour Stuart Graham. \nIf you haven’t been to Sywell before and you are bringing your motorhome\, you will need to park in Hanger 1 car park\, this is situated after the entrance to the Aviator hotel entrance. The gates to enter Hangar 1 car park will be locked for anyone entering the car park after 1am though you will be able to exit with the automated gate system. \nPre-dinner drinks will be served from 7pm in Hangar 1 accompanied by Gatsby Swing Jazz Quartet and dinner will be served at approx. 7.45pm. \nOne last reminder if you have not already notified us of any serious food allergies please do so by return. \nPlease pass this information on to your guests on your booking. \nCarriages at 1am. \nHSCC \n————————————————— \nWe have an exciting new format and venue for the 2021 HSCC awards evening and dinner dance on Saturday 20 November. \nIt will be held in the impressive surroundings of Sywell Hotel and airport in Northamptonshire and will have a theme of the ‘roaring 20s’. As well as celebrating the season’s champions\, we will have live music\, a disco and a meal all within the ticket price of £85. \nDress code is 1920s (or a variation) or DJ and we are hoping to welcome around 250 members and their guests. We plan to have some notable cars and maybe even an aeroplane on show. SUMMARY:Brands Hatch Indy
DESCRIPTION:The HSCC’s 2022 racing season kicks off on the Indy circuit at Brands Hatch on April 2/3\, two weeks before the Easter weekend. It should be a great start to the season with all grids having a double-header on the ever entertaining Indy circuit at the famous Kent venue \nOn Saturday 70s Road Sports 80s Production and Formula Junior all in action. while on Sunday only are Historic Road Sports and Historic Touring Cars. Racing on both days of the weekend are Classic Formula 3\, Historic Formula Ford 2000\, Classic Clubmans and Formula Atlantic. The double-header for Formula Atlantic is a new venture for the Club\, bringing together the growing number of such cars that are being rebuilt and race-prepared for this wonderful 1970s and early 1980s category. Hopefully\, this will be a great start to the year for the category and lead on to perhaps some more stand-alone races later in the season. \nBrands Hatch Indy is a hectic lap with little chance to rest\, as the circuit constantly changes direction and elevation. The spectacular plunge down Paddock Hill Bend remains one of the big challenges in British racing was the tricky sequence of corners at Surtees\, Clearways and Clark is always a scene of place changing.

DESCRIPTION:Later in April\, the focus switches to East Anglia for a two-day meeting on the Snetterton 300 circuit in celebration of the late Jim Russell. On 23/24 April\, a full weekend of racing will include some guest races not normally seen on the Club’s schedule. A number of the Club’s championships will be in action\, including 70s Road Sports\, Historic Touring Cars and 80s Production\, all of which will have qualifying and both races on Sunday. \nOn track both days of the weekend are Historic Road Sports\, Historic Formula Ford\, Classic Formula Ford\, Historic Formula 3 and Historic Formula Ford 2000. Welcome guests races on Saturday are for Ecurie Classic Racing and the Classic and Modern Motorsport Club. Out on both days of the weekend\, will be welcome guest grids from the Monoposto Racing Club. \nThe Snetterton 300 circuit offers the chance to really stretch a car’s legs on some wide open spaces with a series of fast and medium speed corners within the neatly redeveloped complex. Recent major improvements to the A14 and A11 trunk roads make getting to Snetterton easier than ever before\, with dual carriageway right to the circuit entrance.

SUMMARY:Silverstone GP
DESCRIPTION:Running in its traditional spring date (14/15 May)\, the Silverstone International Trophy weekend is one of the jewels in the HSCC calendar. The chance to tackle the full Grand Prix circuit at Silverstone is not to be missed with huge grids and great racing assured around this excellent facility. As usual\, the action will be based from the Heritage paddock\, but taking in the full three-mile Grand Prix circuit. With its fast sweeps through Maggots and Becketts and the technical challenge in the loop section\, allied to plenty of smooth run-off\, this is a great place for historic racing. \nWith a Saturday race only\, 70s Road Sports and 80s Production start the weekend off. Meanwhile\, qualifying and racing on Sunday only are Historic Road Sports\, Guards Trophy and the opening race for the exciting new Griffiths Haig Trophy for 1950s drum brake sports cars. Racing across the weekend are Thundersports\, Historic Formula Ford\, Classic Formula Ford\, Historic Formula 3\, Historic Formula Ford 2000 and the combined Aurora Trophy and Geoff Lees Trophy. Competitors in Historic Touring Cars will have the opportunity to race in a grid shared with Historic Road Sports for a 25-minute race. This will be a non-championship race for the Touring Cars. It is a superb line-up of some of the best of the HSCC’s racing categories\, and a fitting programme for this important weekend. \nAt Silverstone we also have a welcome guest race in the form of the Masters Gentlemen Drivers grid for pre ‘66 GT cars with a mini-endurance race on Saturday. Expect a bulging grid featuring Jaguar E-types\, AC Cobras\, Lotus Elans and more. \n

DESCRIPTION:The special Bank Holiday weekend in early June (Saturday/Sunday 4/5 June) marks the annual Wolds Trophy meeting at Cadwell Park. One of Britain’s most technical and challenging circuits\, Cadwell offers a fabulous three-dimensional challenge as it nestles in a beautiful setting in the Lincolnshire Wolds. \nUnder the stewardship of MotorSport Vision\, Cadwell has never looked better in terms of general up-keep and facilities and the Wolds Trophy has become a very popular date on our summer racing calendar. Hopefully\, after the constraints of Covid for the last two years\, this year will mark a return of barbecues\, picnics and social gatherings in the paddock on Saturday evening\, as many competitors take the chance to camp over at this wonderful venue. \nThe HSCC categories will have double headers at Cadwell Park\, including both Road Sports grids\, both Formula Ford grids\, Historic Touring Cars\, Formula Junior\, Historic Ford 2000\, Classic Clubmans and 80s Production. Making its debut\, with a pair of races\, will be the Club’s new Historic Modsports and Saloons category. \nIn addition\, we will welcome guest races from the Northern Sports and Saloon Car Championship. This popular series\, run by the Darlington and District Motor Club\, features a wide array of modern sports and GT cars.
