DESCRIPTION:REMINDER\n Silverstone Festival entries \nPlease don’t forget that HSCC has three grids at the 2023 Silverstone Festival over the August Bank Holiday weekend (25 to 27 August). Currently there is space on all three grids if you would like to take a rare opportunity to compete at this awesome event. \nSilverstone Formula Libre Trophy for any pre-1990 single seaters: two 20-minute races. The race will pay tribute to the incredibly popular Formula Libre races that were a staple part of Silverstone race meetings in the 1970s. \nA 40-minute pre-1980 road sports and touring car race for the Road Sports Trophy. At the heart of this will be cars from Historic and 70s Road Sports grids as well as he Historic Touring Car Championship. Cars from a number of categories will be eligible\, particularly those running to FIA Appendix K regulations\, but all cars in near standard trim from the 1970s will be welcomed. \nThundersports for 1970s sports-racing and GT cars and for the 40-minute Silverstone Festival race the entry is open to other suitable cars\, particularly powerful GT cars. DESCRIPTION:The season opening race meeting on the 300 circuit at Snetterton will include the re-launched Autosport 3-Hours for pre ’66 GT cars. \nRecreating the former Autosport Three Hour race\, the HSCC will run the endurance race on the Snetterton 200 circuit on Sunday April 23 for all pre ‘66 GT cars. \nThe race will be attractive to those who normally compete in the HSCC’s Guards Trophy as well as a range of other championships and series. The Club is keen to welcome competitors who want to tackle this one-off endurance contest and cars from Classic K\, Gentleman Drivers\, GT and Sports Car Cup\, Equipe GTS\, Ecurie GTS\, and Motor Racing Legends will all be eligible for the race. \nThe three-hour contest will be open to two or more drivers per car with pit stops and special refuelling arrangements. A widened choice of tyres is being considered for the race. \nAndy Dee-Crowne\, CEO of the HSCC\, said: “We have been looking to bring this race back onto the schedule in tribute to the original Autosport Three Hours\, and we felt that this was a good time to re-launch it at our annual Snetterton race meeting. \n“We hope to attract a wide range of GT cars of all engine capacities\, including those that may not normally race with the HSCC but will be very welcome to come and tackle this one off race. Where necessary\, day membership of the HSCC will be included in the entry fee.”

DESCRIPTION:The HSCC season concludes\, as is tradition\, at Silverstone for the Finals Meeting on 15/16 October on the National circuit. This ever-popular date will be the deciding rounds of most of the Club’s championships after a season long battle. Races on the National circuit always deliver great entertainment and lots of excitement as titles are won and lost. \nRacing on Saturday alone are the Guards Trophy and Historic Formula Ford grids. DESCRIPTION:On 3/4 September\, the HSCC will make a welcome return to the Croft circuit in North Yorkshire as the popular Nostalgia Meeting returns after a couple of years away. Croft is a great venue for racing with a real mix of fast and slow corners and presents a great challenge for drivers\, backed up by a warm welcome from the venue. \nA whole clutch of Club categories will be in action with two races each across the weekend. The programme takes in Historic Road Sports\, 70s Road Sports\, Historic Touring Cars\, Guards Trophy\, Historic Formula Ford\, Classic Formula Ford\, Historic Formula 3\, Aurora Trophy/Geoff Lees Trophy\, Historic Formula Ford 2000\, Classic Clubmans and 80s Production. \nTraditionally\, the Croft Nostalgia Meeting has been a great celebration of motor sport and transport history\, with much going on alongside the racing to make it a great family weekend.

DESCRIPTION:The Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit is top of the wish list for many racers as one of Britain’s most challenging and rewarding tracks to race on. As usual\, the Club is delighted to have a summer weekend of racing at this magnificent venue with the Legends of Brands Hatch Super Prix meeting on July 9/10. \nA full weekend of racing is headlined by the superb Historic Formula Two cars\, as the series has its first UK weekend of the season. The sight and sound of a grid full of Formula Two and Formula Atlantic cars racing on the Grand Prix circuit will be an absolute highlight. The Classic Formula 3 grid will also be rather special\, as a strong influx of French and other European racers are expected as this is the first UK leg of the four race Classic F3 Interseries\, organised by HVM and the HSCC. \nRunning on Saturday will be the 70s Road Sports contenders\, while out on Sunday will be Historic Road Sports\, Guards Trophy and Formula Junior. At Brands for the weekend\, alongside Historic F2 and Classic F3\, will be Thundersports\, Historic Formula Ford\, Historic Formula 3\, Historic Formula Ford 2000 and Aurora Trophy/Geoff Lees Trophy. \nBrands Hatch GP is a venue steeped in racing history and remains a fantastic place to go racing. The dips\, twists and curves make it a true drivers’ challenge and another highlight of the Club’s season.

DESCRIPTION:In mid-June\, attention moves to Donington Park for a real mid-summer mid-season weekend (18/19 June) on what remains one of Britain’s most popular tracks. \nAnother bumper weekend of racing includes the Aurora and Geoff Lees Trophy running on Saturday only. Out on Sunday only are Historic Road Sports\, 70s Road Sports\, Historic Touring Cars and Classic Clubmans. In action over the weekend will be Guards Trophy\, Thundersports\, Historic Formula Ford\, Classic Formula Ford\, Historic Formula 3\, Historic Formula Ford 2000 and guest races from the Monoposto Racing Club. \nWith excellent facilities\, re-investment by MotorSport Vision and classic corners like the downhill plunge of the Craner Curves and the blind brow Coppice\, Donington Park is a great place to go motor racing and its central location makes it an easy trip for just about everybody\, wherever they are based. It is another jewel in the Club’s 2022 schedule. \n

DESCRIPTION:The special Bank Holiday weekend in early June (Saturday/Sunday 4/5 June) marks the annual Wolds Trophy meeting at Cadwell Park. One of Britain’s most technical and challenging circuits\, Cadwell offers a fabulous three-dimensional challenge as it nestles in a beautiful setting in the Lincolnshire Wolds. \nUnder the stewardship of MotorSport Vision\, Cadwell has never looked better in terms of general up-keep and facilities and the Wolds Trophy has become a very popular date on our summer racing calendar. Hopefully\, after the constraints of Covid for the last two years\, this year will mark a return of barbecues\, picnics and social gatherings in the paddock on Saturday evening\, as many competitors take the chance to camp over at this wonderful venue. \nThe HSCC categories will have double headers at Cadwell Park\, including both Road Sports grids\, both Formula Ford grids\, Historic Touring Cars\, Formula Junior\, Historic Ford 2000\, Classic Clubmans and 80s Production. Making its debut\, with a pair of races\, will be the Club’s new Historic Modsports and Saloons category. \nIn addition\, we will welcome guest races from the Northern Sports and Saloon Car Championship. This popular series\, run by the Darlington and District Motor Club\, features a wide array of modern sports and GT cars.

DESCRIPTION:Running in its traditional spring date (14/15 May)\, the Silverstone International Trophy weekend is one of the jewels in the HSCC calendar. The chance to tackle the full Grand Prix circuit at Silverstone is not to be missed with huge grids and great racing assured around this excellent facility. As usual\, the action will be based from the Heritage paddock\, but taking in the full three-mile Grand Prix circuit. With its fast sweeps through Maggots and Becketts and the technical challenge in the loop section\, allied to plenty of smooth run-off\, this is a great place for historic racing. \nWith a Saturday race only\, 70s Road Sports and 80s Production start the weekend off. Meanwhile\, qualifying and racing on Sunday only are Historic Road Sports\, Guards Trophy and the opening race for the exciting new Griffiths Haig Trophy for 1950s drum brake sports cars. Racing across the weekend are Thundersports\, Historic Formula Ford\, Classic Formula Ford\, Historic Formula 3\, Historic Formula Ford 2000 and the combined Aurora Trophy and Geoff Lees Trophy. Competitors in Historic Touring Cars will have the opportunity to race in a grid shared with Historic Road Sports for a 25-minute race. This will be a non-championship race for the Touring Cars. It is a superb line-up of some of the best of the HSCC’s racing categories\, and a fitting programme for this important weekend. \nAt Silverstone we also have a welcome guest race in the form of the Masters Gentlemen Drivers grid for pre ‘66 GT cars with a mini-endurance race on Saturday. Expect a bulging grid featuring Jaguar E-types\, AC Cobras\, Lotus Elans and more. \n

DESCRIPTION:Later in April\, the focus switches to East Anglia for a two-day meeting on the Snetterton 300 circuit in celebration of the late Jim Russell. On 23/24 April\, a full weekend of racing will include some guest races not normally seen on the Club’s schedule. A number of the Club’s championships will be in action\, including 70s Road Sports\, Historic Touring Cars and 80s Production\, all of which will have qualifying and both races on Sunday. \nOn track both days of the weekend are Historic Road Sports\, Historic Formula Ford\, Classic Formula Ford\, Historic Formula 3 and Historic Formula Ford 2000. Welcome guests races on Saturday are for Ecurie Classic Racing and the Classic and Modern Motorsport Club. Out on both days of the weekend\, will be welcome guest grids from the Monoposto Racing Club. \nThe Snetterton 300 circuit offers the chance to really stretch a car’s legs on some wide open spaces with a series of fast and medium speed corners within the neatly redeveloped complex. Recent major improvements to the A14 and A11 trunk roads make getting to Snetterton easier than ever before\, with dual carriageway right to the circuit entrance.

DESCRIPTION:The HSCC’s 2022 racing season kicks off on the Indy circuit at Brands Hatch on April 2/3\, two weeks before the Easter weekend. It should be a great start to the season with all grids having a double-header on the ever entertaining Indy circuit at the famous Kent venue \nOn Saturday 70s Road Sports 80s Production and Formula Junior all in action. while on Sunday only are Historic Road Sports and Historic Touring Cars. Racing on both days of the weekend are Classic Formula 3\, Historic Formula Ford 2000\, Classic Clubmans and Formula Atlantic. The double-header for Formula Atlantic is a new venture for the Club\, bringing together the growing number of such cars that are being rebuilt and race-prepared for this wonderful 1970s and early 1980s category. Hopefully\, this will be a great start to the year for the category and lead on to perhaps some more stand-alone races later in the season. \nBrands Hatch Indy is a hectic lap with little chance to rest\, as the circuit constantly changes direction and elevation. The spectacular plunge down Paddock Hill Bend remains one of the big challenges in British racing was the tricky sequence of corners at Surtees\, Clearways and Clark is always a scene of place changing.

DESCRIPTION:Already\, we are in September and our attention is turning to the HSCC’s return to Mallory Park after a longish absence.\n\nWe have a good entry building but have space for lots more for a proper club meeting with a very attractive entry fee. \nAfter a gap of around a decade\, the HSCC will return to Mallory Park for a two-day event in September.
