Stuart Turner will be the guest speaker at the Historic Sports Car Club's annual Dinner Dance and Awards Presentation on Saturday 19 November.
In the final event of the Club's 50th anniversary season, up to 250 members and guests will gather at the Whittlebury Hall near Silverstone to celebrate the winners from an outstanding season of racing.
Turner is a renowned and award-winning after dinner speaker and has been at the heart of motor sport for more than 50 years. He was a British champion rally co-driver in his early years and won the 1960 RAC Rally with Erik Carlsson in a Saab 96. He was then rallies editor of Motoring News before becoming Competitions Manager at BMC and later Director of Motorsport for Ford of Europe.
He was a member of the MSA Council from 1991 to 2009 and was awarded the Prince Michael of Kent Award of Merit for services to motor sport. He is a director of the Motorsport Safety Fund and is a great supporter of club-level motor sport.
During the evening the winners from across the Club's portfolio of championships and series will receive their awards, while a raft of special annual awards will also be presented.
