Moto Berazzi Ltd, a new name in the manufacture of wheels for historic racing cars, will support this season's HSCC Historic Formula 2 FIA International Series.
The new partnership takes effect from the opening races of the Historic F2 season at this weekend's Donington Historic Festival (2-4 May).
Somerset-based Moto Berazzi will specialise in making three-piece rims for single-seaters and sports-racing cars from the late 1960s and 1970s. The rims will be ideal for cars from manufacturers like Chevron, Lola, March and Lotus.
"We're starting off with 13 inch wheels in a whole range of rim widths," said Daryl Taylor from Moto Berazzi. "We've gone to a lot of trouble to make them out of modern materials that can be machined differently. It's about applying modern manufacturing processes and material technology to produce period compliant wheels."
Rims will be offered in half-inch variants from two inches to 11 inches and most sizes will be carried in stock in the UK from June. However, the rims will be spun in Korea, taking advantage of the latest technology to produce wheels that are thinner, lighter and stronger.
"We're delighted to welcome Moto Berazzi as a key partner to our Historic Formula 2 FIA International Series," said Grahame White, CEO of the HSCC. "I hope that it will be a long and successful partnership for one of our flagship race categories."
